Day 16

Hello Everyone! Simba here. I’m in what Leo would call a spin. I have been reading about the importance of washing at this time of virus.

Well, of course I wash my paws fastidiously as we all do. First, I lick them, copiously.  Then I remove debris with my teeth and finally I polish the little pads with the rough side of my tongue until they are pink and shiny again.

Too much information?

No, I’m sure you know how it is and do exactly the same.  Anyway.  I was struck with a horrible thought. What if there was a virus on my paw. WOULD I BE EATING IT?

Help……….

On the whole I think Simba does too much thinking. But he may just have a point here. His brain must be improving – I’ll have to watch out.
I don’t do so much paw cleaning myself. Although my paws are white like his, they don’t seem to get so dirty. They must be self-cleaning.

I have been trying to think about possible solutions. I could of course walk though puddles and clean them that way. But there aren’t many clean puddles, are there?  And would the virus be in the puddles? No, I don’t think so. Water drowns things.

I’m not sure why he is so worried about putting his paws in dirty puddles when he DRINKS from them.

What else can I do? I could rub my paws on the doormat. I do that sometimes, but it’s more of a manicure really. And I sometimes get into trouble for that . I ask you. What is the problem with fluffing up a mat when it is for reasons of personal hygeine? I like to keep my paws clean . Unlike some others I can think of!

OH MY WHISKERS! Just look at what has happened. In an attempt to clean his paws without licking them he has turned himself into corkscrew.

I’d better sign off on his behalf while he disentangles himself.

Love LEO (the magnificent) xxxxxx
